Pension & Financial Services Regulatory
We advise trustees, scheme sponsors, professional advisers and beneficiaries on pension disputes, and firms and individuals facing investigation by the Central Bank of Ireland.
On the pensions side, we act in High Court proceedings involving the mismanagement of schemes, breach of fiduciary duty and professional negligence, and in disputes over funding obligations, scheme amendments and member entitlements in both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes.
On the regulatory side, we represent firms and individuals in investigations under the Central Bank's Administrative Sanctions Procedure, including before the Inquiry Panel, and in fitness and probity matters. The procedure is technical and the consequences for a career or a business are serious, and we treat the early stages with the care they deserve.
The firm combines commercial litigation experience with a working knowledge of the pensions and financial regulatory framework. The approach is practical and outcome focused, and the aim is to protect the client's interests and reputation in matters that are complex and high in stakes.
